SafetyNests are the new-concept artificial Nest and Shelter Cases for use in wildlife
rehabilitation and best practise aviculture. The designs are based on those PVC cases used in
the recent past by scientists for rehabilitation work. They were and are proven to be the most hygienic
and durable artificial nest and shelters available, being much superior to old-style wood nest boxes. The new
SafetyNests are designed for Future Safety
. Much improved on all previous models, they are better insulated and otherwise prepared to combat the oncoming weather-extremes --- with insufferable heat and cold levels --- and virulent infestations. Highly resistant to most chemicals and parasitic infestations these SafetyNests out-perform and outlast old-fashioned, wood nest boxes and bush logs. Even in aviaries it is unwise to confront valuable birds with unnecessary health risks; particularly now, as the extreme weather conditions with embedded dangers take hold.

... distinctive features qualify them as truly safe nests - i.e. SafetyNests.

WARNING: For birds do not use wooden nest boxes and never fix nest boxes to trees. Old style wooden nest boxes soon develop surface defects (cracks, splits etc) that harbour injurious parasites --- and the use of wood destroys forests, which we are trying to save. Even plantation timber causes much environmental damage. SafetyNests are designed to be hung well away from climbing, jumping predators such as ants, mammals and reptiles and this combined with other distinctive features qualify them as truly safe nests --i.e. SafetyNests. Line them with a thick bedding of untreated softwood shavings, and pine bark, or other materials such as coconut fibre and chopped eucalypt leaves before hanging them. Hang them high.
